Blacksea Nopox contains a unique complex of carbons used by nutrient reducing bacteria and each carbon is used by different types of microorganisms. Used as a complete carbon source for use with carbon-based de-nitrators. The fine control of nitrate and phosphate levels provided by monitored doses of Nopox ensures gradual changes and maintenance of accurate nutrient levels. Adding a digestible carbon source will spur the growth of the bacterial population, and with that growth, other necessary nutrients. The availability of certain nutrients can not only affect the growth rate of the bacterial population, but also the metabolic function of the population. The availability of carbon sources has proven not only to limit the growth rate of denitrifying bacteria, but also to limit the rate of denitrification.
